The rooms
The 4 Duchess suites are located on the two floors of a 17th century farmhouse, residence of the Strozzi princes, a historic Florentine family, which was completely renovated in 2001 by the owner, Luca Ranfagni, as a professional design studio and then converted into a Boutique Hotel in 2013.
Each room is furnished with extreme care and characterized by the combination of original period elements and all modern comforts (air conditioning, wi-fi connection, flat screen TV), to offer its guests a fully relaxing stay.
Amelia
The Amelia suite is the latest addition; spacious, bright, with antique furniture reinterpreted with the taste of the owner – Designer. The play of frames and mirrors, and hand-painted wallpaper create a unique atmosphere.
Artemisia
The Artemisia suite is perhaps the warmest of the rooms available at Duchess; here colors such as orange, salmon and strawberry red reign. The floors are in natural oak parquet and the bathroom, strictly en-suite, has a large space with a mosaic-covered shower.
Caterina
If you are looking for a sophisticated atmosphere, we recommend the Caterina suite: natural oak parquet, furnishings in colors ranging from beige to green, velvet armchairs. This room offers a wonderful view of the garden and swimming pool.
Isabella
The privacy of our customers is fundamental to us and the Isabella suite, with its intimate and enveloping atmosphere, was created precisely for this purpose. Its colors are all the shades of blue that we find in the paintings, in the upholstery of the furniture and the bed.
Duchess
The latest addition to the rooms is Duchess, welcoming and spacious, furnished with the taste of the designer – owner of the house, who personally purchased the objects that populate it during his travels. In addition to the large en suite bathroom with all comforts and accessories, the room is equipped with fine linens, wireless network and air conditioning.
